COVID 19 and lockdown for prison education meant a different method of delivery needed to be developed quickly in order to ensure education could continue – since lockdown began the Weston College Prison Education team have worked tirelessly to create in cell learner and distraction packs, which have been a vital part of prison life in these extraordinary circumstances and to date we have created, printed and delivered OVER 70,000 WORKBOOKS

As we now continue to adjust and follow everchanging guidelines the pack library continues to grow- now holding over 380 different workbooks, these have been greatly received and have had wonderful feedback from learners;

With different prisons moving at different paces and face-to-face teaching soon to be resuming in some establishments we are still working to create a programme that uses innovative, COVID secure methods of delivery – just as other education settings are across the country – to enable us to continue providing our outstanding, vital service to those in our 19 prisons.
